Loco for cocoa ? Airasia New in-flight menu featuring World Famous Malagos Chocolate crafted by Celebrity Chef JP Anglo.

AirAsia guests will have a brand new meal to enjoy this summer, available from April 12, 2018. This is really a good news for chocolate lovers like me. I love chocolate, chocolate is like water to me, I have it every before-after meal. If you are loco for cocoa (just like me), AirAsia new “Santan” in-flight menu in collaboration with Chef JP Anglo – Roasted Daladan Chicken with Pimiento Sauce is a MUST-TRY when you fly to The Philippines. Besides, other exciting new products in its Santan in-flight menu also available on the same date, further enhancing AirAsia guests’ experiences on board.

It was my pleasure to be invited to AirAsia new “Santan” in-flight menu launch at Malagos Garden Resort in Calinan on the 5th of April 2018, perhaps AirAsia knows how much I love chocolate too 😝. The launched was well-attended by AirAsia’s associates, media, bloggers from Cebu, Davao, Manila and Malaysia.

Watch the video below to witness the “born” of Roasted Daladan Chicken with pimiento sauce. It is flavoured using Davao’s famed and internationally recognized Malagos Chocolates. Let Chef JP Anglo showed you his cooking prowess by demonstrating how this dish was made using the premium ingredient, Malagos Chocolate.

Chef JP Anglo said, “I am incredibly happy and excited to share my first dish specially made for an airline and I love it that AirAsia is literally taking Filipino homegrown products and talents to greater heights.”

Aside from Santan hot meals which include Asean favourites like Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice, Thai Green Curry, AirAsia is also supporting social entrepreneurs from Manila, Davao and Cebu by selling their handwoven items and natural food products on all
AirAsia flights across 180 destinations in the whole of Asean, Asia, Australia, Middle East, China and US.

Present also during the launch was Philippines AirAsia Chair, Maan Hontiveros and Chief Executive Officer, Captain Dexter Comendador.

AirAsia’s newest in-flight hot meals and merchandise are available on all AirAsia domestic and international flights in the Philippines with Z2 flight code. The night was as fantastic as the unique meal incorporating Malagos Chocolates. I was so impressed as the marinated chicken tasted so good, not too salty and it goes so well with the pimiento chocolate sauce. Never thought of marinated chicken and chocolate can so perfectly match!

Have a look at the beautiful Malagos Garden where the good cocoa beans grow.
