Hello again ! Welcome to part 3, which is the last part of my review. I hope you enjoyed reading Part 1 & 2. Just a little recap : It has been two months after using EX-FR 100, by exploring and experimenting with this outdoor + selfie camera , I would like to share with you, my personal user experience. As you know, I only do the REAL review, not faking/making stories.
For your information ,
User experience (UX) refers to a person’s total experience using a particular product, system or service. The first requirement for a great user experience is to meet the exact needs for the usage of a product or a service, without fuss or bother.
The photo above looks a little sarcastic, but this is exactly what I am going to share with you, my personal user experience.
If you were asking me to choose one accessory from all, I think I will go for the LED Ring light ! It is really awesome. Check out Casio EX-FR 100 official video to get a better picture on how to use the camera and its accessories.
Point five 5 :
Beauty Mode and Connectivity. As usual, Casio cameras provide the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), microUSB for your to download images / videos directly to your phone or laptop. It has 12 levels beauty mode for your to choose about.
Flyingindance’s User Experience 5 :
Personally, I think beauty level 6 is good enough. Every girl can be snow white ❤ I have sun-kissed skin. By the way, this is the photo with beauty mode level 9. Simply love its HD feature that you can see my eyelashes clearly yet smoother and brighter looking skin no me.

Also, some of my friends were asking me, if Casio ZR series already can do the recording and beautifying, why need EX-FR100? So this is my answer to them. The photo below shows the difference of ZR3500 & FR100.
Now, can you tell the difference? The photo was taken at the same time, same place and some lighting. I know you can tell which camera is better for selfie now. Special thanks to Jenny Ma for being my model.
Point five 5 :
Battery life. EX-FR100 can take up to 55 minutes for actual movie recording (full HD) and 1 hour 20 minutes for continuous movie recording. While , for shooting, you can get the number of Shots: ~235 Shots, ~285 Shots (Camera Standalone operation).
Flyingindance’s User Experience 5 :
Last but not least, battery life is so important especially when you are travelling. I am all good with EX-FR 100 other than the battery life. It can actually last for 2-3 days if you only using it for shooting. However, if you are using it for video recording, it may last only 2 hours. The matter that bothering me wasn’t really the battery life, but the charging process.
You have to charge two parts of the camera, at the circled area, BUT, you only have one charger given, so in another word, your charging time has been doubled up. In Mandarin, we have this saying, 笔无两头尖/ 又要马儿好，又要马儿不吃草 which means you can’t expect both ends of a sugar cane are as sweet. You want it to be detachable, then you must make sure you “feed” both modules well hahaha.
and a tip for you, when the camera is not in use, you have to turn off the power button on the camera (lens) module (in the picture below), not the controller (screen). If you turn off the lens module, it will shut the controller (screen) together, but if you turn off the controller (screen) you are just turning it into sleeping mode.
