Kuala Lumpur Japanese Fine Dining Cuisine @ Coco.tei

Sorry for the late updates people, I was preoccupied with my adult learning and training center arrangements and many more things. Last week was a hectic one, despite modelling for Astro & my lesson plans, I went back to Penang for family matters. Despite myself, I have been trying my best to explore my new toy – Exilim FR100 so that I can do a good review for camera lovers.

I wish to have 32 hours a day so that I can have 8 hours of good night sleep. I was given a Japanese Fine Dining as a reward for running a successful lesson plan from my boys and girls : Coco.tei Tokyo Japanese Cuisine.

The last time I visited Coco.tei was my 2014 birthday, which was 3rd of November. The food was fabulous ! Thus, we decided to visit them again yesterday. Unexpectedly, it surprises me because the address written on their website is different from their Facebook. How lucky that Angeline found out and we called them to confirm their location. So it is, they have moved to a new place, no wonder their address and phone number were different. No worry , I will insert their new contact details at the end of my blog as usual. No matter where they are , we were eager to “sapu” their sushi and sashimi hahaha…

You can see there are still work-in-progress and the warm wishes from their friends.IMG_4780IMG_4779
They have closed for renovation for two months and reopen this week.

When the waitress led us to our tatami seats, I was really pleased with their interior design, especially the details like the rugs above, and the broccoli look-alike decoration on the floor (in the picture below).

We reached there at 830pm and had our food ordered at 840pm. They even prepared house slippers for you, great hospitality.
IMG_4860Here you go with their menu. They have really special menu that we can’t wait to try them all.For dinner , they provide a variety of set meals for your choice , really awesome !

We waited since 840pm , not a single dish was served. So hungry women turned into angry women. We called the waitress to urge for our food, and they started to serve us drinks and chawan mushi.

Their chawan mushi blew us away ! Man, best Chawan Mushi so far . This made us hungrier. Please serve faster !
…………………………………….. 9 50 pm ……………………………………
Finally, they started serving, there were 5 of us  , we “sapu” (cleared) these 3 dishes within 3 minutes.

Were we having Michelin 5 stars fine dining? seriously what takes them so long to prepare our meal ????????  They only serve after every 20 minutes ! No doubt their food were really good but it was too slow that they had challenged out patience. Eugelina ordered Edamame to fill her tummy while waiting.

At last, they managed to serve us.

I have to say, their food presentation and taste were superb,  its quality is very good indeed ! No wonder they take so long to serve. However, I still hope they could hire more staffs to speed up their service.
IMG_4871IMG_4875IMG_4876and here comes my Lady Set : The best set I have ever tried. ❤
I wish to go back again but I do hope they don’t take too long to serve me, not good for a gastric patient like me.

Let’s see what were included :
IMG_4874IMG_4873I highly recommending this Lady’s set to you! It is so healthy yet you get to try everything !
Look at the dumpling ( I am not sure what it is called, maybe Japanese Yongtaufu), it is wrapped by vegetable !
IMG_4872
Well, we ordered this Salmon Eel Rice Pizza too, but we reminded them 3 times, they kept telling us it will take one more minute to prepare. I was quite pissed off and questioned them : so you need 2 hours and 1 minute to prepare a rice pizza?

Thus, we cancelled our order and check for bill.

Surprisingly, they gave us 10% discount on the total bill for their kinda bad service. If you ask me would I recommend this restaurant ? I would say YES ! They provide the ultimate Japanese gastronomic experience, just that you have to spend longer waiting time.
