“New year, new hair colour”, yea it’s only March still not too late for a new hairstyle right? I searched high and low for new ideas and hair colour, as all girls know their hair is a very important part of every outfit and can make or break your look. How lucky did I come across Divo Hair Connection ‘s website when I was looking all around for my new hairdo. The first thing that attracted me wasn’t their promotion, but the Hair Donation Event. Cut your hair at the same time donating it to people who needs it, killing two birds with one stone, good innit?
of course, there are a few basic requirements before the donation:
1. your hair cannot be bleached, permanently coloured or chemically treated.
2. it has to be a minimum of 8 inches long.
for more information, check out locks of hope.
Alright, back to my hair story. So………. I was attracted by their good thought of having the Hair Donation Campaign, and I decided to chop off my hair.
Reluctant of course, but well… I always believe in do small things with great love and you will make a big difference. We rise by lifting others, innit?
however……….. It was my fault that I didn’t read through the requirements thoroughly, my hair was disqualified due to frequent chemical polluted hahaha… how I wish I could turn back time, then I wouldn’t have done so much to my hair. Well, I still did it anyway… I know you can’t wait to see my new look.
Just before I show you, allow me to put my two cents:
Hairdresser plays such a vital role when it comes to a haircut, make sure the hairdresser cares for your hair first than their pocket. I dislike hairdresser who keeps promoting their products, asking too much of personal questions. In fact, they should ask questions on (1) how you would like to take care of your hair, (2) how often do you visit the hair salon, or (3)how well do you know your hair.
(1) If you are one that loves your hair so much, I am sure you do not want to damage your hair. If they care for you, they will advise you on the dos and don’ts so that you know what you are going to go through.
(2) If you are a lazy/ thrifty consumer, they will advise you to go for the easy-to-take-care-hairstyle so that you don’t have to touch up/ treatment so often.
(3) This is the most important question. A lot of girls out there do not know their hair well, just like they do not know their bra size. Nothing to surprise, it is so common. So, make sure your hairdresser tells you about your hair and what is the best for your hair.
I am sure I gonna miss my long hair.. they will grow back one day. It has been 6 years or even longer, I love you my long hair.
I was grateful that I have chosen the right hair salon because their Creative Director Bryan is so handsome hahaha… of course not only because of this, but it is a plus point.Bryan was so patient to explain everything I wanted to know. I have really thin hair pertaining to family genetics, so I hardly do any chemical like permanent perm or colouring. Yes, I always style it as it is my job nature to be fashionable, but I always pamper my hair with good hair treatment. But today, I have decided to colour it because I want to have a change, I have no idea maybe after few months I will make it even shorter or to turn it black again, but at this moment, I really want to have a change. I was in dilemma, Bryan explained me to the pros & cons, and given me some time to deliberate. And my answer is YES .
Bryan told me I can try out Balayage.
If you are a hair color aficionado, then this isn’t the first time that you’ve heard of the “balayage” technique. This hair color technique has been combined with “ombre” coloring and is referred to as “blended ombre”. It is a highlighting technique that originated in France. Balayage is characterized by painted highlights that are very close to the natural color of the hair, which produces a more gradual color transition in the strands. This technique can create the perfect sun-kissed effect on your hair!
Why not? Let’s Balayage! If you are planning to book an appointment with your hairdresser for a new hair colour, make sure you check out Balayage and don’t forget to consult the hairdresser to find the perfect match for your skin tone or hair type.
Everyone knows I love violet, so of course that would be on my hair. Let’s watch this video witness my hair transformation. I still not used to my new hairstyle yet…….
still good? 还可以吗?
I like it for the time being.. hahaha girls being girls. #girlsproblem
